CONGESTION MANAGEMENT

Regulation No714/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council proscribes, among other things, that it is necessary to establish market mechanisms for allocation of crossborder transmission capacities. In line with the mentioned in 2015 NOSBiH and neighbouring system operators carry out common auctions for allocation of rights for the use of crossborder transmission capacities.


Annual, Monthly and Daily Auctions on the borders Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina – Croatia are carried out by Auction Office in South East Europe (SEE CAO).

Daily Auctions on the border Bosnia and Herzegovina – Serbia are carried out by NOSBiH.


Intraday Allocation of rights for the use of crossborder transmission capacities on the border Bosnia and Herzegovina – Croatia are carried out by Croatian Transmission System Operator (HOPS).
